Church on the Street feeds the hungry, clothes the naked and proclaims hope to the hopeless through the power of Jesus Christ.
Church On The Street provides compassionate ministries on the streets of Atlanta by feeding the poor, clothing the needy, reconciling families, and providing practical guidance. We oversee volunteer staff every week who prepare and serve meals, collect and pass out clothing, and share their lives with the poor and homeless.
Church On The Street pastors thousands of homeless people by proclaiming the Gospel, listening with loving attention, offering spiritual direction and connecting them with a local church-community.
We extend incarnational ministries by building relationships and offering pastoral care to the poor and homeless on the street corners, under the bridges, and in the shelters, ghettos and housing projects.
Church On The Street partners with many organizations that are committed to serve the poor and homeless. In Atlanta, there are thousands of homeless people who need the support of many different agencies, organizations and ministries. Sometimes we can best serve the poor and homeless by helping those other persons and institutions that serve them. We do this by offering people-power, prayer, maintenance, supplies and emotional support.
Church On The Street also provides opportunities for adult, college-aged and youth groups to participate in inner-city mission trips. Our "hands-on" approach includes much more than your typical mission experience. We believe in thorough training “on location” of each volunteer so that the experience can be taken back and applied to the needs of your home community. We also provide internship and practicum opportunities for college, seminary and post-graduate students.
